DIET & NUTRITION FOR BELLY FAT LOSS

Three Simple Food Tips to
Lose Belly Weight

In the struggle to lose belly fat, nutrition is the most important component of the equation. Understanding and then following basic nutritional guidelines can have an incredible impact of your health and your figure. Below are the some basic-yet-powerful nutritional tips that your belly doesn’t want you to know.

Tip 1) Eat Less But Not Too Much Less.

A simple solution to losing weight is to strictly cut back on calories. Nice try, but you are signing yourself up for a world of misery. Diets don’t work for a reason: they are painful and miserable and will power can be taxed and exhausted just like any other muscle in the body.

Eating less is a good thing, but being constantly hungry is not. Regarding serving sizes, there is only one major rule that you need to follow: stop eating when you are full. That’s it, just stop. To clarify, “full” does not mean buttons busting off your pants or barely keeping everything down – full. It means, you are satisfied. Your hunger has been met. Learn to recognize and appreciate this feeling. Eat slowly and pay attention to your own body. You’ll be amazed at how much it talks to you if you only listen.

Learn to love being full, but not too full. Learn to take smaller portions and go back if you need more. Learn to taste your food and enjoy its flavors. In other words, learn to eat well.

Tip 2) Choose Real Food Over Fake Food

Nutrition can quickly become confusing, but it doesn’t have to be. For most people in most instances, simple rules of thumb work much better than difficult formulas.

Start by choosing real food over fake food. What is fake food? It is stuff that factories put together and call “food” for lack of a better term. The dead giveaways are: food coloring, bright packaging, drive thrus and exclamation marks on boxes.

Real food comes out of the ground, occasionally ‘clucks’ and ‘oinks’ but rapidly makes it to your plate without going through a deep fryer. The following examples may help:

You are eating something that came directly from a plant = real food.

You had to open a box, make holes in plastic wrap and zap it in the microwave for five minutes = fake food .

Your food was presented to you by an unhappy teenager in a uniform and name tag = probable fake food.

You cannot pronounce the ingredients in the item you are consuming = fake food.

Sadly, there are many incredibly intelligent food chemists who make it their jobs to design fake foods that trick your taste buds and your brain. Lots of salts and fats make your brain happy, but your body very unhealthy. In addition, companies spend millions upon millions of dollars to convince you and your family that fake food is real food or just as good as fake food. Don’t try to translate all the varied health claims on boxes or be fooled by “reinforced” this or “fat free” that.

Stick to natural foods: fruits, vegetables and lean meats. Shop fresh as much as possible. Use spices and light dressings to flavor your food. Take the time to cook real food for yourself and your family or find restaurants that offer healthy menu choices.

Tip 3) Increase Your Food Awareness

Much of the current nutritious misbehavior cultivated in our society could be successfully combated by investing a little extra time into shopping, cooking and learning about food.

Is it shockingly easy to live life without ever having to actually “cook.” One can “microwave,” “toast,” “heat up,” or “order” food without ever taking part of the preparation process.

Shopping and cooking food increases food awareness and appreciation. Read a little about food and nutrition. If you are really committed to improving your nutrition, give gardening a try and watch what real food looks like from the ground up (literally).

Take time every day, even just a little, to consider what you are putting inside of your body. You are literally made up of the food you eat. Those calories are turned into your cells, your bones, your muscles and skin. Those calories give you energy and rejuvenate your body and mind. Give yourself the right nutrients. Don’t worry about all the facts and formulas and pyramids. Eat natural foods, stay away from fake foods, throw in a little exercise while you’re at it, and you will quickly burn away that belly fat food good.
